Csl Plasma - Waste of time
I went to the CSL Plasma center in Lawrenceville Ga. upon arriving i was put through a lot of info about the donation process and what is not a acceptable donation patient, it covers hiv, hepatitis a,b,c and a lot of others that I never heard of when you first get there.
So after being there 2 1/2 hours and my final screen, I was asked if I took any med's and I said yes I am diabetic and sometimes need insulin. I was told to see the nurse and she told me no I could not donate but if I quit taking insulin I could come back--its like she was trying to get me to stop treating my diabetes so I could help them by being a patient. Really how could a nurse even suggest that. I was upset that I could have been told within the first 5 minutes that if you are diabetic and take insulin you cannot participate.
I asked the manager about this and he said they cannot tell you this because people lie. I asked him don't you think people will lie about other things that are pointed out up front that would disqualify you and he said yes. I filed a complaint with their corporate office and a parrot so to say called with the excuse that they could get a write up if they let people know upfront about diabetes, and she hears this a lot.
Side note the staff is friendly but are always chatting with each other instead of focusing on the customer. Your donation center
