Verified Reviewer |They violated my rights as a doner. They told me I could withdraw from the process, they did not let me until I had been hyperventilating for 20 minutes.
First let me say that Ive been donating plasma for years. So the problem here was not me or the needle.
It was the fact that the company allows it employee do this to people.
I was in on a routine donation they got me hooked up and off it went. Then they had to adjust the needle ok then again when I told him what he needed to get through the scar tissue. His response was he doesnt like to go that deep. My response was ok but if we have anymore problems I need you to get me of here.
Steve completely ifnored me. Then the we had readjust the need so I raised my hand and a gal come over and she adjusted the needle and I told her why it wasnt worKing and that the puncture site was burning she ignored me adjusted the needle. I said calmly me you need to get me off the machine she ignored me and walked away. She took about 3 step and the machine threw a code alarms started going of and she came running back with the book to fix the machine.
And I said ya you can go ahead and get me off this machine, she ignored me again. And went to fixing the needle all of this time my arm was burning. She said I think it fixed and at this point Im already hyperventng and she tried to walk away again and I said NO YOU NEED YO GET ME OFF THIS CHAIR. And she walked off.
I was in a panic attack and couldnt breath. They kept me in this panic attack for 20 minutes with the needle in my arm until the saline had finished. Now Ive been donating for years so Ive had every type of problem that there is, and I know that a red blood cell loss is a to week deferment. And they held me hostage in that chair while I couldnt hardly breath and blacking out for 20 minutes.
With a needle in my. Sorry I was under the impression that I had the RIGHT to withdraw from the process at anytime. But no you dont. And this timed I wasnt donating plasma anymore.
From the first moment I said get me out of this chair they were harvesting it against my will. This is apparently common practice at CSL in Kansas City.
They deferred me for life and didnt even pay me. The actions by this company go against the informed consent that I signed and are illegal under section 2 o

Verified ReviewerThey didn't pay me the amount they said on the new donor chart
They say they give 125 to new donors, then I had to get pulled off early and they dropped it without saying anything before hand. So I lost money on the donation, lost a new donor fee day that I can't get back and got lied to from the staff on multiple things.
- New donor fees
- Dont tell you stuff before hand
Preferred solution: I want my full donation

Verified Reviewer |I was deferred from CSL because I had a complaint.
.I believe that the manager at the CSL plasma in Tucson on Ina road uses authority and her manager position to defer people because she can. Last time I was in there it took 4 hours to donate there was only two employees working.
And one of them was playing favorites with donors I kept on asking them to hook me up so I can start the process of donating. She said she would get to me soon. So a shift changed happened and a new employee came in and I told her what happened and how long I was there. She said you should speak to my manager.
I said that's a good idea maybe she can give me a bonus for being here so long.. so she went and told her manager. I was called into a room where the manager and another women and a man were already waiting for me.. I felt intimidated and already knew that they were upset I am complaining..
she said what is ur complaint and was rude about it. I asked if I can be giving a bonus for being the for four hrs. And told her how the employee kept skipping me . She immediately defended her employees actions which I expected.
But the asked why do u think u should be entitled to a bonus. And I said because it took so long for the donation and would be a nice thing to do. She said that she wasn't gonna give bonus . And basically just ignored my complaint.
I asked why are u being so rude. About everything . And she said why do u feel entitled. She asked me to leave.
I said not until I get a bonus for my time she said I will call the cops . I said why do u have to be so rude and *** She then proceeded to call cops. I got out before she could even dial 911. I just felt right off the bat that they were bulling me..
I did ask why there was so many people in there and was referring to the dude who really had no business beiny in conversation. She said he was there just in case u get hostile. Which is what she said I was doing. Getting hostile and crazy..
all because I speak very loud. Said I was screaming.. well sorry my normal voice is loud. And she called me a name.
This is a manager at a company treating a customer or donar with disrespect. I was then deferred for this . I didn't even know u can be deferred for asking for a bonus. And saying a complaint to a manager about her employee.
I just don't understand yes the money helps but it's nothing . So for someone to go donate plasma which saves lives for what 40 bucks. For four hrs. To get treated like a piece of *** That sucks.
She treated me like I was some drug addict teying to get a fix when I amover two years clean off alcohol. They give bonus all the time. Don't know why they couldn't give one that day for a 4 hrs donation and it wasn't even the first time.. I tried going to the other CSL downtown and they won't let me donate cuz of the Ina rd one out me on the list.
Is this legal. Can I be refused to save a life because I had a complaint against and employee. I mean I know she got mad because you are as good as your worst employee. The manager is the one who is responsible for the bad employee.
And I guarantee you she felt insulted when I said I wanted to complain against her employee. She got very defensive very rude and basically showed me the door. Mind you I've never had one problem ever in my life. Except for one time I complain and get treated like an a*****.
And I use this money on times when I am struggling and right now I don't have a job and they won't let me donate. I feel they use the donor deferral list as their way of getting back at you and that is not right. I should be able to file a lawsuit or something. Discrimination against men cuz she didn't even give me a chance .
Bullying and intimidation. And harassment.
- Saving lives
- Rude or unhelpful staff
- Bully like
Preferred solution: Deferral removed and an apology. I was deferred because of behavior. But was treated rudely for filing complaint and asking for bonus.
User's recommendation: Do not complain to the manager . Cuz they will say u are acting hostile and unpredictable and will get back at you buy deferring you. When they know you need this money.
Referral points
I refer a donor who successfully donated two times and used my code its been two weeks still havent received anything or herd back from customer service
User's recommendation: Would not recommend
You haven't explain why I was turned away
Why was I turned away only three block they said my address wasn't qualified help me with this one ok
User's recommendation: No not until this is straighten out
Front desk staff
Darenda at the Cheyenne (downtown Tulsa) location put me on a 12 minute hold (until I eventually hung up) after refusing to transfer me to their center from another.
I've never had a problem with any other staff members.
Horrific service and discriminated
Came in to do new donation since Ive done it before in Philly and really liked CSL. I showed up 7:45 on a Sunday.
I called to make sure what time I should get there and was told at open. When I got there I asked to donate and said I was new. They became annoyed even though the place was empty. I kept being told that new donations started later and later.
I am high functioning but on the spectrum and when I sense hostility I tend to talk fast and loud. The one woman made fun of me when I told her I was autistic she rolled her eyes and said yep. So i said Ill come back another day and asked when I should arrive for new donations the one lady tried giving me a time but the other lady rudely said 8 and said by. I let it slide and tried this past Sunday and I couldnt even get in the building and they said no nurse today for new patients.
Like how do you operate without a nurse. I was treated poorly and when I explained why I was speaking fast was made fun of. Its not a big deal to take a new patient.
Still waiting on a callback for the manager. Very upset by this

Verified Reviewer |CSL FRAUDULENT REPORTING TO NDDR OF FALSE POSITIVE FOR HEPATITIS
CSL knowingly and willfully committed F R A U D and D E F A M A T I O N by inappropriately reporting and adding my name to the NDDR (national registry list of individuals to be excluded by all blood product donation centers in the U.S.) for an alleged P O S I T I V E test result for Hepatitis B.
CSL was provided objective, independently verifiable and empirically based evidence from a nationally known and respected medical laboratory and medical office that in point of fact that at the time I donated plasma at their Maple Shade, NJ. location, I was and remain N E G A T I V E for Hepatitis B, and for that matter, both Hepatitis A and C as well.
CSL location managers present, R E F U S E D to review, ready, copy, retain, and assess any weight said objective, independently verifiable, and empirical evidence of the N E G A T I V E Hepatitis blood test results.
CSL location nurse (refused to identify herself either by name or State of New Jersey license number) then lied (wilfully misrepresented) regarding yet another unprofessional CSL business policy and practice wherein she falsely asserted (emohasis added) that as a direct result of and legally constrained by the current strict H E P A laws, CSL does N O T disclose a donor's personal medical information in its possession.
In point of fact, immediately following the above referenced in-office meeting at the location in question, I traveled to and presented at yet another plasma company in Cinnaminson.
During the intake process on that occasion, I was notified electronically by the kiosk to check in at the facility administrator's desk.
It was there that I was advised that according to CSL Plasma and the NDDR which it notified of the aforementioned positive status, my donation status was that of P E R M A N A N T L Y D E F E R R E D!!!
Moreover, I was advised that the O N L Y way to be removed from the NDDR list freeing me to donate any further blood products was to convince the party responsible for placing my name on the list to then remove same.
Multiple CSL Plasma representatives consulted advise that CSL Plasma has NO P O L I C Y, P R O C E D U R E, or P R O T O C O L to offer providing for removal of anyone's name from the NDDR registry once submitted.
According to representatives of the NDDR consulted, they falsely assert N O R E S P O N S I B I L I T Y or for that matter L I A B I L I T Y for the content of their list. When queationed about supervision regarding the submission and inclusion of false, misleading and otherwise defamatory and inappropriate information on their list, I was advised that NO S U C H Q U A L I T Y C O N T R O L mechanism or review process exists and that NDDR was U N W I L L I N G to receive, read, review, consider, or act upon any objective, independently verifiable, and/or empirically based medical evidence, either from a nationally known and respected source, or otherwise in order to in any way amend or correct any false, misleading, and/or defamatory information contained on their 'list.'
It should be apparent that NDDR too is a willing participant and echo chamber for the dissemination of false, misleading, defamatory and scientifically baseless medical information resulting in significant economic hardship and other forms of unwarranted harm to those about whom it reports, falsely peddling its list as authoritatively accurate and one in which potentially life altering if not also threatening decisions under certain specific acute medical crises may occur requiring authoritatively accurate medical data.
CSL Plasma R E F U S E D to identify the technician, test name, facility location, laboratory certification status, finding verification protocols employed, whose alleged testing resulted in the false Hepatitis B positive result.
CSL Plasma facility nurse also confessed that nonless than two (2) subsequent donation samples I provided were 'D I S C A R D E D' without testing per CSL Plasma policy, procedures and protocols, thus resulting in the deatruction of potentially, in fact highly likely exculpatory evidence of a false positive.
If the aforementioned weren't enough, I made a good faith based offer and invited CSL Plasma to identify by name and location, licensed physicians in their employ, schedule appointments for me with each and permit me to pay for the office visits and blood tests. My offer was dismissed out-of-hand per the absence of any accommodating or comparable CSL Plasma policy, procedure, or protocol.
It should therefore be apparent and serve as a warning to the public that CSL Plasma is something short of a professional and reputable company whose policies, procedures and protocols are inconsistent with the current minimum normative standards of scientific inquiry (scientific method), reckless in that it is willfully blind to documentable medical evidence from nationally kniwn and respected sources.
Moreover, CSL Plasma's facility-specific nursing and administrative staff are demonstrably incompetent and reckless with personal, confidential medical records and information.
The aforementioned was not the only (isolated) significant observeable flaw in CSL Plasma's policies, procedures, protocols, terms and conditions.
Nursing staff receive little if any scientifically based training in discerning the difference between a bruise and a scar at injection cites. Injection cite wounds are N O T photographed or otherwise empirically memorialized (other than a subjective written statement - undermining in fact inconsistent with scientifically based O I D A Vpeer review) thus denying different CSL Plasma employees at different locations any ability to objectively compare and contrast that previously observed by anyone else at another CSL location and conclude whether or not a given wound pattern is either improving, stable, temporary, or permanent.
Psychological testing is also absent from the CSL Plasma screening process.
PTSD often manifests in the context of short and long term memory loss. If one had a vaccine within the past few days as I later recalled, no accommodation is made per current and I'm told, even being contemplated by CSL Plasma management on the subject. This condition affects responses to CSL Plasma pre-donation solicited questions.
My recent vaccination caused my alleged positive Hepatitis B result. Medical sources speak to the reality of false positive test results proximal to vaccination.
And the scientifically based significant anomalies presenting at CSL Plasma do not end there.
The aforementioned is intended to serve as and in fact constitutes a factually based public health W A R N I N G, not merely an advisory.
User's recommendation: AVOID CSL PLASMA !!!!!!
Do not refer a friend they lie and you won't get paid
They lies bout compensation for referring a friend you got paid yet worse staff ever have minds of second graders worse place to ever donate I mean it my 13 year old kid could work at this place. So do not go to this place unless your a *** friend and homeless place is ran by dumb *** people lol

Verified Reviewer |This company has still not contacted me over an issue caused by their staff.
Falsifying my medical records to store irregular heart rate after I complained of poor procedures they had in-house.
Preferred solution: An apology as well as the payout for the 2 donations I could have given if the employees had not been more interested in giving out. Also an apology from the nurse that aggressively yelled at me and threatened me. He should not be in healthcare.
User's recommendation: Beware of the education level of the staff
